THE SMITHS: Summer overview...

Summer has come on gone SO fast this year, we're so sad! Now that we've got two little monsters that run the show we spend lots of our fun in the sun at parks and swimming pools. Ryan is like a fish she absolutely loves the water Reg not so much he's more like his daddy(fun little example.. six months prego I swam across a lake with my husband and lets just say.. thank god for my lifeguard skills;)) I'm sure one day I'll be saving the both of them..

Vacations have slowed down lots now that we travel with four instead of two but we did get to take a couple. Trev was invited to a few football camps so one of them we made a road trip out of. We drove to Vegas to stay with some friends,(keep in mind we are college students with two kids so funds are short to say the least) so we gamble a little and are on a time schedule thank heavens because I'm very controlled in everything EXCEPT gambling. Next stop Cali, after the camp we visited a few beaches including Santa Monica were we stopped to eat at a place called "The Lobster" because we both LOVE seafood, I could not wait to get me one of the giant lobsters advertised all over not to mention they were only $30 I could not have been happier... until I recieved a bill for almost $200 apparently they were $30 a pound! AHHHHH not the best time or place to dine and dash but you know it crossed my mind;) We stopped back in Vegas again and ofcourse were do we find Erica?.. The casino, I was determined to win my money back and I did plus 300 I was so proud of myself I had never been up that far in my life, still can't believe it but the worst part is that control thing I mentioned earlier lol I'm still so upset about what happened next I can't really talk about it, but lets just say listening to the prophets advise is like listening to your parents in high school you don't always do it but you ALWAYS wish you would have!

Next vaca. was to Denver Colorado, mom and Jerry just bought a home there so I am sure we will be back this fall for some Bronco games, we are Tebow fans considering him and Brody are twins we better be;) we did lots of shopping, eating, and caught a rockies vs. dodgers game it was a nice change of scenery it's beautiful there.

Did I mention we rooted for opposite teams?!

There was one more very, very special event this summer... baby Harper. Ash finally joined Kim and I on the mommy train;)

The day before the big day we walked FOREVER, little monster was clinging for dear life in there!

Summer just wouldn't be summer if there wasn't a million boating trips and everyone and their dog didn't come. All of us Swansons are fish we absolutely love the water. There is nothing like a hot day, cold water, unlimited food/drinks, and good company, and ofcourse a massive tube;) for those of us prefer to skip the water enimas we inevitably get everytime were on the skis or wake board.
